CHAMBER CHOIR "Credo", Kiev

2006 – W. A.Mozart Requiem

2006 – W. A.Mozart Requiem

The Credo Chamber Choir is lucky to have repeatedly performed works by a brilliant composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The choir had its first experience with his works in 2006, during the Ave Verum Moz Art Fest II that was held at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine on 3‑7 December to commemorate Mozart’s 215th death anniversary.

On 4 December the festival opened with a play Face to Face with Mozart (symphony for actors and orchestra) by Edvard Radzinsky. In this program the choir performed several compositions by Mozart accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine conducted by Mykola Diadiura. On 6 December the concert was given by the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra conducted by Roman Kofman, featuring a concert performance of the opera Mozart and Salieri by Rimsky-Korsakov.

The choir’s highlight during the festival was performing Requiem by V.A. Mozart accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine conducted by Roman Kofman on 7 December.

On 30 April 2014 at the closing ceremony at the Easter Assembly 2014 Spirituality Unites Ukraine at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine Requiem was performed by the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine conducted by Roman Kofman and by the Credo Chamber Choir.
